July 15 – God is infinite goodness

“God is infinite goodness, all beauty, all perfection. A drop of goodness, a shadow, delights us in creatures, and how amazed shall we be when we behold God?”
Father Wenanty Katarzyniec
Today I pause on this thought of Father Wenanty and ask myself: do I truly notice God in everyday life? How easily we are delighted—a child’s smile, the warmth of a sunny morning, a gesture of kindness from another person. These small moments, like shadows and reflections, are only a faint prelude to the true Beauty, which has its source in God Himself.
Father Wenanty reminds us that what moves us here on earth are only “drops” of goodness—and yet they can touch our hearts, make us pause, and lead us to reflection. If a mere shadow can so amaze us, how immense must be the radiance of the Source itself?
Today it is worth trying to look deeper—to see the Creator behind the beauty of creation. Behind human goodness—Infinite Goodness. For God is not merely “very good”—He is pure Goodness, pure Love, and pure Perfection.
In a world full of hurry and noise, it is so easy to lose sight of what truly matters. And yet, all it takes is a moment to pause. To think of God not as an abstraction, but as a Person—the most beautiful, the most perfect, the most real.
Today, Father Wenanty guides us toward awe of God—not in theory, but in life. For although we do not yet see Him face to face, in every smile, in every act of kindness, and in every beauty of this world, He allows Himself to be known. And He prepares our hearts for the encounter that will one day fill us with endless wonder.
