July 17 – Sometimes we say things we don’t need to

“Sometimes we say things we don’t need to, which result in misunderstandings and discord. Let us always speak in such a way that we do not fear authority, or even the publication of our words in print.”
o. Wenanty Katarzyniec
How often have our words—spoken casually, without reflection—become a source of tension, pain, or division? What we say has the power to create… or to destroy. Brother Wenanty reminds us that speech carries responsibility.
This is not only about avoiding lies. It is about a deeper honesty—a truth within that allows us to speak with peace, without hidden motives, without the need to wound, without fear of consequences.
In a world where words are often cheap and easy, a Christian should speak with courage and gentleness, like someone who knows that every word can be a testimony—or its denial.
Speak as if Christ Himself were listening. And remain silent when silence says more than a thousand sentences.
