July 6 – We came forth from the hand of God

He shows a path: to depart in such a way, one must live in such a way. One must begin today—from this very moment. Not tomorrow, not when there is more time. Now. Nie przeraża, lecz staje się chwilą spotkania. Nie odbiera nadziei - przeciwnie, otwiera drogę do pełni miłości. Dlatego święci patrzą na nią z pokojem, a nawet z radością - nie dlatego, że gardzą życiem, ale dlatego, że kochają Boga bardziej niż cokolwiek na tym świecie . Jakie konkretne kroki mogę podjąć już dziś, aby zbliżyć się do Boga, a nie oddalać?

Gedanken für heute Wann habe ich mir zuletzt echte Stille gegönnt, in der Gott zu meinem Herzen sprechen kann? Welche irdischen Dinge übertönen den Ruf zu meinem höheren Ziel? Was muss ich in meinem Leben ordnen, damit ich mich auf das Ewige richte und nicht nur auf das Vergängliche?

Let him stop for an hour from bustling about earthly matters and soon the depths of his heart will echo a call - perhaps muffled, faint, not clear enough to hear. A call that says: Man! Remember that you are destined for higher things! A moment of silence is enough - a pause in the daily race - and the heart begins to speak a truth we often drown out by noise, duties, and constant movement. Father Wenanty reminds us that the human soul is not created for small things . The world keeps us busy, distracted, overloaded - yet deep inside, a voice persists: You are made for higher things. Your path reaches farther than what you see. This is not your final goal. It is the echo of eternal life God has planted in the human heart. To stop even for a moment is to allow this truth to rise to the surface again. Reflection for Today When was the last time I allowed myself true silence in which God could speak to my heart? What earthly concerns drown out the voice of my higher calling? What should I reorder in my life to move toward what is eternal rather than merely temporary?

Pamiętaj, że nie tu Twój cel i koniec!” Ojciec Wenanty Katarzyniec Każdy człowiek, choćby najbardziej zajęty światem, nosi w sobie ciche pragnienie czegoś większego. Wystarczy odrobina ciszy, przerwanie codziennego biegu, by serce przemówiło prawdę, którą tłumimy hałasem spraw, obowiązków i trosk. Ojciec Wenanty przypomina, że dusza ludzka nie jest stworzona dla rzeczy małych . Świat daje nam zajęcia, rozproszenia, nieustanne bodźce - ale w głębi jest głos, który nie przestaje wołać: Masz wyższe powołanie.   Twoja droga prowadzi dalej niż to, co widzisz.   Nie tu jest Twój cel. To echo życia wiecznego, które Bóg wpisał w ludzkie serce. Zatrzymanie się na chwilę pozwala je usłyszeć i na nowo spojrzeć na swoje życie nie „od dołu”, lecz „od Boga”. Ku refleksji na dziś: Kiedy ostatnio pozwoliłem sobie na prawdziwą ciszę - taką, w której Bóg może mówić do serca? Jakie sprawy ziemskie zagłuszają we mnie głos o wyższym powołaniu? Co w moim życiu powinienem uporządkować, aby kierować się ku temu, co wieczne, a nie tylko doczesne?

„O barmherziger Gott, präge unseren Herzen den Gedanken an die Vergänglichkeit der Welt ein. Lass ihn niemals entweichen, niemals aus den Augen unserer Seele verschwinden, damit wir uns nicht in diesem irdischen Schlamm vergraben und die ewigen Schätze verlieren, die Du uns in Deiner Güte, Herr, verheißen hast.“ Pater Wenanty Katarzyniec Die Worte von Pater Wenanty Katarzyniec treffen das Zentrum der menschlichen Erfahrung: Es ist leicht, sein Herz an irdische Dinge zu hängen, aber viel schwerer, daran zu denken, dass alles Zeitliche ein Ende hat. Der Mensch sucht von Natur aus Stabilität, Komfort und Sicherheit - und doch erinnert uns Christus: „Denn wo dein Schatz ist, da wird auch dein Herz sein.“ (Mt 6,21) Deshalb bittet Pater Wenanty um etwas Außergewöhnliches: nicht darum, dass die Welt verschwindet, sondern dass die Wahrheit ihrer Vergänglichkeit in unserem Herzen lebendig bleibt. Denn wenn wir sie vergessen, „vergraben“ wir uns leicht - in Eile, Geld, Meinungen anderer, Ehrgeiz, Vergleichen. Und dann kann man unbemerkt den größten Schatz verlieren: die Nähe Gottes und das ewige Leben, das Er uns verheißen hat. Dieser Ruf ist keine Ablehnung der Welt, sondern eine Einladung, sie weise und mit freiem Herzen zu leben - mit dem Blick auf das, was ewig bleibt. Gedankenanstoß für heute Was bindet mich in meinem Leben so stark, dass es mir die Freiheit des Herzens nimmt? Erinnere ich mich im Alltag daran, dass die Dinge dieser Welt vergehen und die Ewigkeit vor uns liegt? Welche „ewigen Schätze“ vernachlässige ich durch Eile, Sorgen oder die Ablenkungen dieser Welt?

“O Merciful God, imprint upon our hearts the thought of the world’s transience. Let this thought never fade, never disappear from the eyes of our soul, so that we may not bury ourselves in the earthly mire and lose the eternal treasures which, in Your kindness, Lord, You have promised us.” Father Wenanty Katarzyniec The words of Father Wenanty Katarzyniec strike at the very core of human experience: it is easy to attach our hearts to earthly things, yet far more difficult to remember that all that is temporal has its end. A person naturally seeks stability, comfort, and security — and yet Christ reminds us: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Mt 6:21) This is why Father Wenanty prays for something remarkable: not that the world would disappear, but that the truth of its passing nature would remain alive in our hearts. For if we forget it, we easily become “buried” - in haste, money, people’s opinions, ambitions, comparisons. And then, without noticing, we may lose the greatest treasure: the closeness of God and the eternal life He has promised us. This call is not a rejection of the world, but an invitation to live it wisely and with a free heart - with our eyes fixed on what endures forever. Reflection for Today What binds me too strongly in my life - so much that it steals the freedom of my heart? Do I remember each day that earthly things pass, and eternity lies before us? Which “eternal treasures” do I neglect because of haste, worries, or the distractions of this world?
