July 6 – We came forth from the hand of God

“I came forth from the hand of God, therefore I belong to God.” This sentence is like a quiet yet powerful foundation on which one can build an entire life. Since God created me - from nothing, out of love - it means that I truly belong to Him. I am not an accident. I am not someone’s mistake or the product of circumstances.
Anyone who rejects this truth contradicts reason itself. For if a farmer has a right to the crops he sowed and tended, how much more does God - the Creator of heaven and earth - have a right to the heart He molded and gave life to?
Father Wenanty Katarzyniec lived deeply rooted in this truth. He did not consider himself the owner of his life. Everything he did - prayer, teaching, suffering - was his response to God’s love.
This is not slavery. It is freedom. To belong to God means to be under the care of the One who knows me better than I know myself. It means trusting that even when life is difficult, I am in good hands—the hands from which I came.
Today, remember that you belong to God.
You are loved before you even begin to do anything. And that is why it is worth living in harmony with the One who created you - with Love.
